It’s been an exciting week for Māori health with the announcement of the Māori Health Authority’s new board. The announcement brings us one step closer to a future health system, one that will deliver better outcomes for our people.
Congratulations to two of our local kaiārahi for their appointments. Sharon Shea (Ngāti Ranginui, Ngai Te Rangi) who is the Chair of the Bay of Plenty DHB has been appointed co-chair with Tipa Mahuta and Tākuta Chris Tooley, the chief executive of Te Puna Ora a Mataatua in Whakatāne has been appointed to the new board.
